Last nights success bred fast in the faces of excited funk and soul circus go'ers.

Everyone was thrilled and entertained by We Are People, Husk and of course the funky 10 piece train of groove that is Primo Nelson.

We recorded it all! Get ready for the sharing!

Primo will be releasing their promotional video material created by the talented Piers Van Looy soon, who also had the joy of providing, through Southends finest Juggling club; the spectacular and fun-filled circus treats that were perveyed to a crowd of happy go lucky clown costumed funk and soul fans.

We are people got everyone into the mood for the evening after a brief show from the hoop and poi lovelies. They blend a modern pop twist to a catchy funk feeling that got all the ladies in the room moving. Headed by the gruff rough and ready singing afficinado Matt Linnen (Dirty Linnen, Vox Empire) with added keyboard and flute elements that made for a relatable yet fresh culmination of sound.

Husk surprised us all with their pounding and intricate funk melodies, rhythms and grooves. Currently sporting a new bass player, they were tight and glued, energetic and for the entirety of the show; funkaaay. Joined by a female lead singer half way through their set added a great deal of vibe and soul. Their drummer was as animal, you'll hear him screaming, soloing and even getting on the mic for a funk improvised version of nelly's hot in here. It had some Cojones.

Primo Nelson. What can I say, funky, groove and jive filled awesome energy that makes your disco beat shoes move and the fire in your belly ignite with some kind of astromnomical funk jam. 3-piece horns, congas, keys, male and female singers and a drum and bass rhythm section that puts the test in testosterone.

Keep your eyes open and your ears pinned back as we'll be releasing parts of the show for your aural excitement to indulge and divulge at your pleasure and leisure!

Im forgetting something! In between the sets we had, uni-cylcists, fire breathers, stilt walking jugglers, hoopers and poi flingers in amongst an amazing crowd of costumed go getting funk fans.

It was a blissed filled evening blessed and fancy dressed!
